We are currently working on the overall planning of the programme regarding the CCR Jubilee celebrations in 2017. The general details will be publicised from September 2015.
We can however inform you that the Jubilee programme will follow the pattern of other large international ecclesial gatherings. As people will be travelling to Rome from all over the world we recognise that their itineraries will be different. Therefore we encourage you to organise or come as part of a pilgrimage group from your country or region. You should therefore organise your own travel and accommodation. Nearer the time ICCRS and the Catholic Fraternity will be able to suggest some agencies who will offer accommodation packages.
The Jubilee Celebration will consist of a three day lead up to the Vigil celebration with Pope Francis on the eve of Pentecost June 3rd 2017. So from Wed 31st May there will be various events happening in several locations around Rome. There will for example be a youth festival, special events for theologians, Charismatic Communities, Schools of Evangelisation etc. There will be an ecumenical forum, opportunities to gather for praise and worship, adoration and evangelisation. Plus a series of workshops on various CCR topics that will be offered during these days.
So if you want to take full advantage of the Jubilee programme you should plan to arrive in Rome by the evening of Tuesday 30th May and depart after the Pentecost Mass in St Peter's Square on 4th June 2017. Obviously as the time draws nearer we will publicise the detailed programme with all the practical details and full information.
In the meantime, we ask you to keep praying that the Holy Spirit would continue to touch people's lives through the grace of Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Please remember our small staff who are serving this worldwide mission. Be assured that we pray for the international CCR every working day here in our Vatican office.
We pray that we will all remain united in the power of the Holy Spirit as we journey towards the Jubilee.
Please, help us to spread the news.
